Terms of
Use

The ground rules for using our website, client portal, application and booking pages. Your engagement letter governs the services themselves.

Effective October 24, 2026

Agreement to these terms

These terms govern your use of the Aeternum Tax Services website, client portal, preparer application and booking pages (the "platform"). By using the platform you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use it.

Information, not advice

Content on the platform is general information. It is not tax, legal or financial advice for your situation, and reading it does not create a client relationship.

An engagement begins only when you and Aeternum sign an engagement letter, which sets out the services, fees and responsibilities for that work. If these terms and your engagement letter conflict, the engagement letter controls for the services it covers.

Accounts and the client portal

  • Keep your sign-in links, credentials and devices secure, and do not share access with anyone else.
  • Tell us right away if you believe someone has used your account without permission.
  • You are responsible for the accuracy and completeness of the information and documents you provide. A return can only be as accurate as its source documents.
  • We may suspend access when needed to protect your account, our clients or the platform.

Documents you upload

Upload only documents you have the right to share. You keep ownership of them, and you allow us to store and use them to provide our services, as described in our privacy policy and subject to section 7216 of the Internal Revenue Code. Do not upload malicious files or material unrelated to your engagement.

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • use the platform for anything unlawful or fraudulent, including submitting false information for a return;
  • try to reach accounts, data or systems that are not yours, or probe or test the platform's security without our written permission;
  • interfere with the platform's operation, including through automated scraping, excessive requests or malicious code;
  • impersonate anyone, or misrepresent your identity or your authority to act for someone else;
  • copy, resell or republish our content beyond personal reference.

Consultations and bookings

Appointments booked through the platform are subject to availability and to the details in your confirmation. Please use the links in your confirmation to reschedule or cancel.

Preparer applications

Submitting an application does not create an offer, an employment relationship or a contract. The information you provide must be truthful and complete. Automated tools help our staff organize and summarize applications; a person makes every decision. We are an equal opportunity employer.

Electronic communications and signatures

You agree that we may provide notices, disclosures and documents to you electronically, by email and through the portal, and that electronic signatures you give through the platform have the same effect as handwritten ones. Specific consents in the portal, such as the electronic signature disclosure, describe your rights in more detail, including how to ask for paper copies.

Text messages

If you opt in to text messages, message frequency varies and message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to stop receiving them or HELP for help.

Our content

The platform's text, design, logos and marks belong to Aeternum Tax Services or its licensors. You may view and print pages for personal reference; any other use needs our written permission.

Disclaimers

We work to keep the platform accurate and available, but it is provided "as is" and "as available," and we do not promise that it will be uninterrupted or free of errors. Refund timing and amounts are decided by tax authorities, and we cannot guarantee them.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, Aeternum is not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages arising from your use of the platform. Liability for professional services is governed by your engagement letter. Nothing in these terms limits liability that the law does not allow to be limited.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute about them will be brought in the state or federal courts located in Orange County, Florida, unless your engagement letter provides otherwise.
